and still the mayor won’t allow cpd to hire anymore police officers even though every commander in all the districts say that is what will help cut down crime,  and all the alderman in the city tell him the civilians are constantly requesting for more police to be patrolling the streets……instead the cpd budget was cut by 65 million and they lost 3 departments and 2 detective divisions and about a fifth of their jail space and there was recently a big lay-off of police officers from every department in the city 

but millions of dollars just went to depaul to add onto their gym so i guess the mayor is putting all his hopes into the great game of basketball to stop crime???
